Ruth L. Joss

Funeral services for Ruth L. Joss, former Lusk resident, was held at Peet Mortuary Chapel last Thursday, Oct. 28. Mrs. Joss died Oct. 25 at the Goshen County Memorial Nursing Home in Torrington.

The Rev. Frank Blish officiated at the service. Minerva Watson was organist and Joy Kaltenheuser sang "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Active bearers were Kenneth Gropp, Don Barnes, Robert Templeton, Richard Lenz, Royce Nelson and James Pennington.

Interment was in Lusk Cemetery. Memorials to the Cancer Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Ruth L Joss was born Feb. 28, 1904, at Argos, Ind. the daughter of Edward and Glenn Kamp. The family moved from Indiana in 1909, homesteading south of Lost Springs, where Ruth received her education. On Dec. 15, 1945, she and George Joss were married at Lusk. They made their home on the Joss Ranch for several years before moving to Lusk. Mr. Joss died October 29, 1953. In 1967 Mrs. Joss moved to Torrington where she had made her home, moving into the nursing home two months ago. Mrs. Joss was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband George: her parents; one sister Ethel Swick, and one brother Marshall Kamp.

She is survived by two brothers; Melvin Kamp of Douglas and Victor Kamp of Torrington, one sister Mabel Kamp of Torrington and several nieces and nephews.
