Fred Amend Dies in Cody
Funeral services were held at the Ballard Funeral Home in Cody May 19 for Fred A. Amend, a former Niobrara County resident who died May 16 of a heart attack.
Mr. Amend was born near Keeline January 30, 1912, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Amend Sr.
The Rev. W. B. Corbett officiated at the service with burial in the Riverside Cemetery. Casket bearers were Mike Miller, Willis Rich, Robert Brown, Corley Davis, and Raymond Shankle, all of Cody, and Alfred Rueben of Powell.
Mr. Amend is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Marie Cox, Cody and Mrs. Emma Gaukel, Twin Falls, Idaho. His parents, wife, a sister, Katherine Skillings, and two brothers John and Henry, died previously.
