Mrs. Lamb, 86, Dies Friday; Funeral Monday
Mrs. Harriet Lamb, 86, died Friday of a lingering illness. She had been a resident of this area for many of the years since 1909 when she arrived in a wagon train.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Harriet Lucinda Lamb Monday from the Peet Chapel in Lusk with Ed Hoff of Newcastle officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, accompanied Mrs. Raime Fosher and Miss Lana Lamb as they sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
Pallbearers were Dean Fosher, Ramie Fosher, Jack Lamb, Jerry Lamb, Gary Lamb, and Larry Lamb.
Harriet Lucinda Lamb was born in Creighton, Nebr., March 11, 1880. She was the daughter of James and Lydia Vargason.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was married to Evington DeWitt Lamb in Newport, Nebr. February 3, 1897. They were the parents of 10 children. They made their home in Mariaville, Nebr., until 1908 at which time they moved to Redmond, Ore.
In 1909 they came by wagon train to Lusk, but in 1910 moved back to Rock County, Nebr. and resided at Carnes, Nebr. until 1914. At that time they homesteaded and moved south of Manville, and lived there until 1929. In August of that year they moved to Grants Pass, Ore. They resided in Oregon until 1951 when they returned to Lusk, where she has made her home.
She was preceded in death by her son Moyland in October 1947, and her husband in August 1960.
She is survived by a brother, Ira Vargason of Aberdeen, Ida., and a sister Maynen Bates of Walla Walla, Wash, and nine children, Ezra Lamb, Albuquerque, N. Mex., Lyle Lamb, Buffalo, Wyo., Wilma Richardson, Woodburn, Ore., Vernal Fosher, Lusk, Wyo., Aaron Lamb, Billings Montana, Ira Lamb, Lusk, Wyo., Norman Lamb, Lusk, Wyo., Evonna Holloway, Crescent City, Calif. and Neva Chipley, Neberg, Ore. She also leaves 25 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.

Lamb, Lincoln, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hudson and Dean Fosher all of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Harrod, Gillette, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Bob McDaniels, Mrs. Nina Faxton, all of Upton, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne King, Lead, S.Dak.; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Lamb, Buffalo, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. John Chipley and Mrs. Larry Wade, all of Newberg, Ore; Mr. and Mrs. Si Holloway, Crescent City, Calif., Mrs. Wilma Richardson, Woodburn. Ore. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Lamb Albuquerque, New Mex.; Mr. and Mr. Bill Denny, Great Falls, Mont; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hoff, Newcastle, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Lamb, Billings, Mont.; and Mrs. Neva Vetters, Bassett, Nebr.
