Marion C. Wasson Larson
Services for Marion C. Wasson Larson, 89, of Lusk were held April 23, at the Peet Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Scott Grimshaw officiated. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Larson died April 20, 1988, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital. She was born August 20, 1898 in Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Malcolm and Christine McTaggart. The family moved to Minot, ND in 1905. As a young girl she worked in Yellowstone Park and taught school in Cody, WY, She married Guy B. Wasson on July 3, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Lusk in 1945. Mr. Wasson died on February 5, 1955 and on June 8, 1956 she married Oscar Larson at Concord, CA, where they lived until Mr. Larson's death in 1972. In 1973 Mrs. Larson returned to Lusk to make her home. She entered the Niobrara County Nursing Home in 1986.
Mrs. Larson enjoyed playing bridge and was active in the local Bridge Marathon. She had a corporate interest in the Wasson Chevrolet Garage for many years. She was a member of the Congregational Church; was initiated in the P.E.O. Chapter, Sept, 7, 1954; and was a member of the Eastern Star and a Gray Lady at the Lusk Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Guy Wasson and Oscar Larson; one grandson, one sister, and one brother.
Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Shirley Wasson of Lusk; two stepsons, Charles and Paul Larson of California; three grandsons; Brad, Michael and Kirk Wasson; 6 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
