Minnie Catherine Lincoln

Lusk resident, Minnie Catherine Lincoln, 71, died Sunday at Niobrara County Memorial Hospital.

A native of Merrick County, Neb., she was the daughter of Lewis M. and Minnie Alice Hawkins.

She moved to Laramie in 1937 and the next year married Leonard Lincoln, an oil field machinist, in Harrison.

They lived in Lance Creek, Laramie, California and Casper until Mr. Lincoln retired, when they moved to Lusk.

Mrs. Lincoln is survived by two daughters, Clara Marie Spencer of Aloha, Ore., and Jeanne Elaine Nauman of Casper; three sisters, Bessie Decker, Hazel Lancaster and Eva Lancaster; a brother, Elza Hawkins of Enid, Okla.; two half sisters, Alice Stinson and Mabel Iddings; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 10, 1979.

The Rev. Frank Bozart officiated at a 2 p.m. Wednesday service at Peet Mortuary.

The organist was Minerva Watson and the soloist Marilyn Cockerham. Songs were "The Lord's Prayer" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand."

Burial followed at Jireh Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Elmer Fleming, Ben Wolfe, Harry Brown, Warren Freeman, Ken and Dan Gaukel.

The family would prefer memorials to the Open Bible Church of Lusk.
