Alfred "Tuffy" Myrup

Funeral services for Alfred "Tuffy" Myrup, 64, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 1992, at the Colyer Funeral Home with Rev. David Wykes officiating. Burial was in the Fort Laramie, Wyo., Cemetery with military honors by Travis Snow Post #5 of the American Legion.

Myrup died Sept. 9, 1992, at Community Hospital in Torrington. He was born May 18, 1928, at Hat Creek, Wyo., the son of Niles and Millie (Olds) Myrup and he grew up on a ranch in that area. He later moved to Lusk, Wyo., and in 1947 he went to work for Lamb Construction.

He married Beverly Sherrill on Sept. 1, 1950, and they lived in Lusk until 1960 when they moved to Torrington. They were later divorced. He retired from Lamb Construction in 1989.

He is survived by three sons, Rodney of Fontana, Calif., Randy, serving with the U.S. Marines in Kailua, Hawaii and Bradley of Torrington; two daughters, Rhonda Power of Torrington and Shari Sinks of Morrill, Neb.; three sisters, Laura Alexander of Manville, Tillie Parmely of Lusk and Betty Johnson of Lingle; a brother, Donny Myrup of Lusk and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother and one nephew.

Colyer Funeral Home of Torrington was in charge of arrangements.
