Emery McGinnis Funeral Saturday

Funeral service for Emery McGinnis, 62, was held at the Peet Chapel Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Mr. McGinnis died at the Veteran's Hospital in Cheyenne January 23.

The Rev. Boutwell conducted the service with Mrs. A.F. DeCastro as organist. Mrs. Pete Germann and Mrs. Paul Morgan sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Casket bearers were Larry Condelario, Roy Condelario, Ronnie Condelario, Ben Sturman, Pat Miller and Hugh McLean. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery with military honors by Wieten Dupes Post No. 4 of the American Legion.

Emery Lonell McGinnis was born September 28, 1911, at Wymore, Neb., the son of James Grant and Iva M. Penn McGinnis.

In 1916 the family moved to Hat Creek where Emery attended grade school. He attended high school in Lusk. In 1934 he moved to Lusk and in 1965 moved to Douglas. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Mrs. McGinnis is survived by two daughters, Ruth Gilmore of Mills and Ihla Jennewein of Phoenix, Ariz., three sisters, Doris Condelario of Casper, Maxine McLean of Evanston, Faye Dean of Bremmerton, Wash., 5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His parents and two sisters died previously.
