Harry Miller dies Sunday

Harry Miller, 75, former Niobrara rancher in the Keeline area died at Douglas, Sunday.

Funeral service is to be this Thursday at 2:00 in the Peet Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Beauford Anderson officiating. Organist Mrs. Ruth Hahn will accompany Susan Hahn, Deb Akers, and Kathy Doctor as they sing "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Abide With Me."

Casket bearers will be Allen Heins, Brad Wasson, Dan Mahnke, Jack Sullivan, Leslie Steward, and Don Sullivan. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the Lutheran Church.

Harry August Miller, son of Frederick and Caroline Miller, was born Dec. 7, 1901, at Sioux City, Iowa. In 1913 he moved from Nebraska to Keeline. In 1927 he was married to Minola Fern Grammer at Keeline. They ranched in the Keeline area until 1944 when he went to work for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He continued to live in Keeline until 1959 when the family moved to Glenrock. In 1969 he retired and moved to Douglas, where they managed a small trailer court for Mrs. Sherley Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Amelia; a son, Harry Jr. and daughter Caroline.

Survivors are his widow Minola; daughter Wyoma Scott of Dubai, Saudia Arabia; nine sons; Robert of Linch, Charles of Fremont, Neb., Leo of Brighton, Colo., John of Hat Creek, Harold of Billings, Mont., Darrel of Sheridan, Arnold of Douglas, Marvin of Casper, Richard of Bell Creek, Mont.; three brothers, Eric, Otto, and Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Mahnke and Mrs. Hedwick Heins; 33 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
