Marie Beatrice Miller

Memorial services for Beatrice Marie (Cross) Miller were held March 31, 1984 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Sun City, Ariz. She died on the 28th of March, 1984 after a long illness.

The Rev. E. Albert Rich officiated at the rites, and entombment was in the Mausoleum of Peace at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City.

Mrs. Miller was born April 14, 1905 at Encampment to Clifford E. and Florence Forney Cross. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.A. degree in education in 1928. While at the University, Mrs. Miller was president of her social sorority, Delta Delta Delta and she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

She taught in the public schools of Fort Laramie, Van Tassell and Lusk. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Following World War II, she worked in Germany as a civilian secretary at the Munich Air Base for the U.S. Army of occupation.

After her marriage in 1949 to Attorney Thomas O. Miller of Lusk they lived in Lusk and Cheyenne and moved to Sun City, Ariz. in 1969.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Col. Clifford Eugene Cross, Ret. and Major Walter W. Cross.

She is survived by her husband and by her nephew, Steven Cooper Cross of Santa Fe, N. Mex.

Arrangements were by Heritage Funeral Chapel in Youngstown, Ariz.
