Jack Miller

Jack Miller died early Friday morning, Aug. 28 at his home in Casper.

He was born on June 20, 1928, in the Seamen Hills north of Lusk, to George and Ollie Miller. Jack attended country school for eight years at Hat Creek and then attended Lusk High School.

He joined the navy and served from 1946 to 1948. In 1950 he re-enlisted in the Army and served until 1954.

Jack married Mary L. Trumbull in 1989 in Omaha, Neb.

He worked in the oil fields as a driller and as a tool pusher for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lloyd and Don and one sister, Cleo Green.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of Casper, his twin sister, June and brother-in-law, Dale Terrell of Lusk; sister Lila and brother-in-law Jim Stratton of Lance Creek; sister Jean and brother-in-law Richard Beck of Riverton; and a sister-in-law Elnora Miller of Riverton; his children, Nancy Lehman and Jackie Angel of Riverton, Kathy Hanners of Las Vegas and Steve and Tammie Miller of Morgan, Utah; three step-children, Tammie Stickrod of Sioux Falls, David of Fremont, Neb., and Michael of Council Bluffs, Iowa; many nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services with military honors were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Lusk Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Bader Funeral Home.

For those who wish, memorials to the family will be appreciated.
