Orpha B. Miller
Orpha Belle Miller, 90, was born June 25, 1893 at Norden, Nebr., the daughter of William and Amy Keister. She died Dec. 13, 1983 at the Torrington Hospital.
Mrs. Miller grew up in the Norden and Valentine area of Nebraska. On July 12, 1910, she was married to George Logan Miller at Ainsworth, Nebr. They lived in Nebraska and South Dakota before moving to Lusk in 1922. There they operated several businesses.
Following the death of Mr. Miller on March 18, 1964, she moved to Cheyenne and also lived in California a short time before returning to Lusk in 1978. In 1980 she moved to an apartment in Guernsey to be near her daughter.
She was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church and Guild, and also a member of the D. A. R.
She was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters in addition to her husband.
She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Cline of Lingle and Dorothy McLean of Guernsey; one sister, Mina Holt of Cheyenne; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 1983 at St. George's Episcopal Church in Lusk with Rev. Sidney Hoadley of Wheatland officiating. Interment was in Lusk Cemetery.
Music was provided by Elizabeth Craske, organist. Helen Oates sang "Just As I Am" and "Abide With Me."
Pallbearers were Herb Klindt, George Dixon, Robert Templeton, John Patrick, Richard Pfister and Paul Percival. Honorary pallbearers were Otto Krekeler, Roy Johnson, William Miller, Eddie Jordan and Lyle Berry.
