Mrs. H. W. Morgan Dies Saturday

Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00, for Mrs. H. W. Morgan, 89, who died at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital in Lusk Saturday morning. The Rev. C. W. Jervis of Lander, formerly of Lusk, officiated, with burial in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, organist, accompanied Mrs. Robert Smith, Pete Germann and James Gerdes as they sang "Rock of Ages" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Casket bearers were Venus Kilmer, Martin Glandt, Graydon Hoblit, Robert Owens, Clyde Blackmore, and John Thon.

Honorary bearers were Floyd McClain, P, J, Owens, C. E. Marvin, Walter Fernau, Roy McClain, Roscoe Kilmer and Harry Fernau.

Minnie Frances McCleerey, youngest daughter of Frank and Susan Nier McCleerey, was born August 2, 1877, at Smithland, Iowa. When she was six years old the family came by covered wagon to homestead near Bassett, Nebr. After a time the family moved back to Iowa where the children could receive an education.

On April 19, 1911, she was married to Hardy Wilson Morgan. They were the parents of four children, Mrs. Ernie (Ardith) Mass of Casper; Mrs. Kenneth (Lucille) Erlewine, Paul and Voyne (Bud) Morgan all of Lusk.

The family lived in eastern South Dakota prior to moving to Wyoming in March 1927. They lived on a ranch near Lusk until 1961 when they retired and moved to town. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1961.

She is survived by her widower, one sister, Mrs. Alice Simon of Springfield, Ore.; her four children, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
