Margaret Mae Parmely

Margaret Parmely was born Sept. 5, 1911, to Chester and Ethel Wright of Hemingford, Nebr.

During the year of 1913 the Wright family moved to Keeline, where Mr. Wright homesteaded. Margaret grew up on the Wright farm and graduated from high school in Manville. She then attended college in Laramie and taught school in the Keeline area.

On the 4th of July, 1932, Margaret married Everett L. Parmely of Lost Springs. Margaret and Everett had three sons, Alvin of Casper, Bobby of Chadron, Nebr., and Franklin of Houston, Texas.

In 1950 the Parmely family moved to Harrison, Nebr., where they live to this day. Margaret was very active in the community of Harrison and held several official offices of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Rebecca Lodge. The past several years Margaret has been active in helping the Senior Citizens Club of Harrison.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother, Sherman Wright of Story, Wyo.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Everett L. Parmely of Harrison, three sons; Alvin Parmely of Casper, Bobby Parmely of Chadron and Franklin Parmely of Houston, Texas; two brothers; Kenneth Wright of Keeline and Orval Wright of Casper; two sisters, Mary Jenkins of Denver, Colo. and Marjorie Hilderbrand of Douglas; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Services for Margaret Mae Parmely were held at the Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk, Oct. 25, 1984, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Todd officiating. Music was by Linda Todd Grimm, organist and Kenny Hutson, sang "One Day At A Time" and "Help Somebody Today."

Active pallbearers were Donnie Mack, Owen Fos, John Herren, Bruce Quintard, John Carahan and Duane Grimm.

Interment was at Lusk Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Peet Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
