Vivienne L. Parsons

Vivienne L. Parsons of Harrison died Feb. 4, 1996, at her home, at the age of 82 years and four days.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Harrison on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996. Pastor Neil Kloppenburg officiated and Chamberlain Mortuary of Crawford is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established to the church.

Vivienne Letitia Ellicott was born Jan. 30, 1914 to Earle Andrew and Matilda Christine (Hanson) Ellicott on a homestead in Sioux County, but near the Wyoming border. Her mother died when Vivienne was five years old, and she and her brother and sisters were raised by their Aunt Lettie, until Earle married Ruby Hamaker. The family continued to live in the Van Tassell area. On Sept. 28, 1931, Vivienne married Frank C. Parsons of Harrison. They lived their entire lives on the ranch south of Harrison. They were the parents of one daughter, Cynthia.

Vivienne was a member of the Methodist Church of Harrison, and a member of Nebraska Cattlewomen and American National Cowbells.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia, and two granddaughters, Amanda and Jennifer all of Harrison, and by her sister, Maxine Fisher, of Ft. Laramie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters, and three step-sisters.
