Lysle Fullerton Dies in Gillette; Burial Monday

Lysle Gray Fullerton, 69, a resident of Wyoming since 1914, died in Gillette Saturday Dec. 19. Funeral services were held from the Peet Mortuary Monday morning at 9:30. Burial was in the Jireh Cemetery.

The Rev. Robert Boutwell of the Congregational Church of Lusk officiated. Mrs. Ab DeCastro played an organ selection "Rock of Ages."

Casket bearers were Charles Vaughan, Emery Gaukel, Neil Grant, Ab DeCastro, Jim Groves and Dale Fullerton.

He was born December 20, 1901 at Atkinson, Neb. the eldest child of Ernest E. and Maud Fullerton. He came to Jireh with his parents and family in 1914, where his father homesteaded 3 1/2 miles north and west of Jireh. He finished his grade school there and attended Jireh College for two years and graduated from Manville High School in 1922.

He worked as a ranch hand on various ranches in the area, loving horses and breaking them to saddle, entering many bronc riding contests, both local and state, until his induction into the army during World War II. Since then he has been in poor health. He never married.

His parents, three brothers and one sister died previously.

Survivors include two sisters, Hazel Carpenter of Powell, Wyo., and Edith Bone of Lusk; one brother Ivan of Riverton and nieces and nephews.
