Chelsea Faye Bonsell

Funeral services for Chelsea Faye Bonsell, 16, were held Aug. 19, 2002, at the Community Covenant Church in Omaha, Neb., with Rev. Doug Ferguson officiating.

Chelsea Bonsell died Aug. 10, 2002 in Omaha, Neb.

Chelsea was born May 9, 1986, in Omaha to John and Dana Bonsell, formerly of Lusk. At age four, Chelsea was joined by her younger sister Amanda Lynn. The family enjoyed camping and boating together.

Chelsea was a talented and ambitious junior at Millard West High School where she was on the editorial staff of the school paper, and was involved in the Speech and Debate Club. She was a 4.0 student throughout her academic years, excelling in math and sciences.

Chelsea was a memorable person, caring and loving people of all ages. She spent time babysitting, tutoring students in math and science, and participating in her church's mission youth outreach. She enjoyed public speaking, piano, dance, softball, and canoeing. She loved spending time with her many friends enjoying outdoor activities, movies and her newest hobby, driving. One of her great delights was vacationing in Lusk visiting friends, and family.

She is survived by her parents John and Dana Bonsell of Omaha, Neb.; her sister Amanda, also of Omaha; maternal grandparent Edna (Rust) Percy of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; paternal grandparents Roger and Beverly Bonsell of Lusk; aunts and uncles, Bob and Tammy Bonsell and Jim and Jessie Bonsell, all of Lusk; Cory and Nancy Bonsell, of Omaha; Rick and Connie Lewellyn, of Wenatchee, Wash..; Danvis Rust of Winnemucca, Nev.; John and Anna Lee Rust of Heathsprings, S. C. ; Joe Rust of Casper. Wyo.; maternal great aunts Charlene Waldock of Lusk; Wendy Wren of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; Nancy Clevenger of Little Rock, Ark.; Gloria Reed of Chicago, Ill.; paternal great aunts Lois Weber of Torrington; Joyce Cordes of Rapid City, S. D. ; Eva Lou Paris of Mesa. Ariz.; and numerous cousins.

A memorial to the Celebration Covenant Church for youth camps and activities would be appreciated by the family, in care of John and Dana Bonsell, 16603 Jefferson Street, Omaha, NE 68135.
