Cookie Robertson Dies in Casper

Clyde E. (Cookie) Robertson, 52, died July 18, at his home in Casper following an extended illness.

Mr. Robertson was born November 17, 1914 in Sunrise and lived his entire life in Wyoming. In 1939 he moved to Lance Creek where he spent a number of years. He was active in sports and had his own band. He has been a resident of Casper for the past two years.

He was district office manager with the Continental Oil Company, and has been employed by that company for the past 27 years.

Mr. Robertson was married to his wife Maudie, January 2, 1938 at Harrisburg, Nebr.

He served in the Navy during World War II and participated in the Battles of Pearl Harbor and in the Pacific.

Mr. Robertson was a Mason at Guernsey, a member of the Casper Elks Lodge, and the First Presbyterian Church of Casper.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Garrett R. Carpenter of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in the Masonic plot of the Highland Cemetery.
