William Ernest "Bill" Baker

Funeral services for William E. Baker, 71, were held Dec. 15, 2003, in Los Alamitos, Calif. Interment followed in Huntington Beach, Calif.

William Baker died Dec. 11, 2003, in Huntington Beach.

He was born March 9, 1932, in Denver, Colo. to Glenn and Nellie Baker.

Bill grew up in Lusk, graduating from Lusk High School in 1950. He served in the Air Force June 1951-March 1955.

He received his BSEE degree from South Dakota School of Mines in 1959. Following graduation, he worked in the aerospace industry until his retirement in March 1992 from Rockwell International. He married Myrna Nelson, Aug. 11, 1956.

He and his family have resided in Garden Grove, Calif., since January 1963. Following Myrna's retirement in 1993, they have traveled in the United States extensively.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna of Garden Grove; a daughter, Linda of Garden Grove; sons, Douglas of Littleton, Colo., and Charles of Tustin, Calif.; a brother Lloyd of Yorba Linda, Calif.; sisters, Susan Dennie and Margaret "Peg" Strutt of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Harold, and his son, Glen.
