Kevin Robert Scott

Funeral services for Kevin Robert Scott, 32, were April 5, 1997, at First Baptist Church in Lusk with his uncle, the Rev. Chan H. Bayne officiating. Memorials are to the family.

He died April 2, 1997, the result of an auto accident south of Basin.

He was born March 11, 1965, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Robert and Sammie Scott. He was raised and received his education in Scottsbluff, graduating from Scottsbluff High School in 1983 as a member of the National Honor Society and numerous clubs. He then attended Arizona State University majoring in architecture.

He worked for Artistic Stairs in Phoenix, Ariz. Following that, he was co-owner of American Wood Stairways in Phoenix, where he designed and built custom wood staircases. He relocated to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1994, where he resumed employment with Artistic Stairs, Inc.

He had worked and resided on the family ranch in Wyoming.

He was involved in DeMolay for many years, two years as master counselor.

He was given the Chevalier Award in 1982 for his exemplary contribution to the DeMolay.

He went on to become the Arizona State advisor for DeMolay.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved water and snow skiing, rock climbing and rappelling. He was a gourmet cook and loved to entertain.

Survivors include his parents of Lusk; brothers Robert Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., and Shane of Rawlins; sisters and brothers-in-law Arlene and Roy Palmer of Belmont, N.Y., and Kelley and Sam Rose of Scottsbluff; nieces Ashley, Arieanna and Danielle; nephews Scotty and Davin; plus numerous aunts and uncles.

Bader Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
