Services for Elizabeth were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday in the Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Mark Lohr officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Seaman, age 81, died early Wednesday morning, February 8, 1989, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. She was born August 30, 1907, near Crawford, Nebraska, the daughter of Estle and Tina Dot Whitman.

When she was four years old, she moved with her family to a homestead northeast of Lusk. She attended rural school at Pine Knot District #9 and graduated from high school in Harrison, Nebraska in 1928. She taught school for a few years in Niobrara County.

On August 7, 1930, she married Charles Seaman and they lived on the ranch with his parents and brother until 1948 when they moved to Harrison. In 1958 they moved to Lusk and owned and operated the Diner. She was later employed at the Southside Cafe and the Fireside Inn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charles.

Survivors include: two sisters, Esther Gibbs of Casper and Hazel Seaman of Harrison; one brother Milton Whitman of Homelake, Colorado; three nieces, Shirley Hladky, Olita Zimmerman, and Judy McKelvy; a nephew, Dennis Gibbs; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
