Florence Smith Dies in Calif.

Florence Smith, who for many years ran a general store in Andrews, died at the home of her daughter, Frances Lapple, in Glendale, Calif., on July 13. She had made her home there for the last several years.

Funeral services were held July 17 in the Little Chapel of the Flowers and burial was beside her husband, R. H. Smith in Forest Lawn.

After living at Andrews, the family moved to Chadron, and then to Tucson, Ariz., before going to California. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Christian Science Church all of her life.

She leaves, besides Mrs. Lapple, a son, Charles N. Morreson Sr. of Springfield, Ore.; five step-children, R. Hershel Smith of Crawford, Mariam Alpin of Granada Hills, Calif., Anita Hunt of Morro Bay, Calif., Jessamine Walker of Canon City, Colo., and Audrey Johnson of Tucson, Ariz. Mrs. Rex Osborn of Harrison is a niece. There are six grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and 22 great-step-grandchildren.

Her husband, R. H. Smith died in 1962, and a stepson, Jay Smith, and a brother, Roy H. Norton, in 1951.

Mr. and Mrs. Osborn and Terry were in California for the funeral.
