Funeral Held for Louis Bauer
A funeral for Louis Bauer, 82, of Sioux County, who died Dec. 13 in a Scottsbluff hospital, was held at 2 p.m. Dec. 18 in Benson-Jolliffe Funeral Home with David Adams officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 20, 1893, at Alliance. He moved to Montana in 1914 and homesteaded near Miles City. He returned to Box Butte County in 1920 and farmed there until 1928 when he moved to Sioux County where he engaged in ranching and farming.
Survivors include his widow, Imogene; sons, Charles, Lynn and Marvin, all of Hemingford, Duane of Rushville, Louis with the armed forces in Korea, and Tony at home; daughters Mrs. Grace Knight of Morrill, Neb., Mrs. Ruby Monasmith of Crawford, Mrs. Lois Stephens of Delta, Colo., and Mrs. Linda Olson of Hemingford; stepdaughters Mrs. Alice Faye Morimoto of Mitchell, Mrs. Laura Ann Fiel of Alliance, and Mrs. Geneive Johnson of Alliance; sisters Mrs. Blanche Gordon of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Alice Shoemaker and Mrs. Rose Vogel of Yucaipa, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
