Michelle Tenney Service Monday

Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. August 7 at the Peet Chapel for Michelle Ann Tenney, 26, who died July 29 at Costa Mesa, Calif.

The Rev. Robert Boutwell, minister of the Congregational Church, conducted the service with Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, organist. Susan Baribeau, soloist sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Terry Klindt, Cheyenne; Richard Scriven, Farmington, N. M.; David Scriven, Tuscon, Ariz.; Jack Butler, Shirley Basin, Wyo.; Alan Butler, Gering, Neb.; Ronnie Thon, Riverton; Gary West, Casper; Kenneth Tough, Costa Mesa, Calif.; Jerry Scott, Powell; Bob Olafson, Sheridan, Marvin Brewster, Denver and Eddie DeCastro, Casper.

Michelle Ann Tenney, daughter of James B. and Dorothy Evelyn (DeGroot) Tenney was born Feb. 26, 1946, at Lusk. Her very young childhood was spent in Lusk and she attended the Lusk Grade school for her first four years of education. In April 1956 she moved with her family to Costa Mesa, Calif., where she had since made her home.

The remainder of her elementary and junior high school was in the public schools of Costa Mesa and she graduated with the class of 1964 from Newport Harbor Union High School. She attended and graduated from the Santa Ana (Calif.) Business College in 1966. She had studied to become a legal secretary.

Following graduation she was employed by several insurance firms and for the past three years was in the employ of the Rapid Transit Development Company of Los Angeles, Calif.

Michelle and her family attended the Congregational Church in Lusk and after moving attended the Congregational Church in Corona Del Mar, Calif.

The family said, "During her lifetime Michelle brought happiness and love to her family and friends despite a serious health problem. She was deeply concerned about others and found her faith and courage in God."

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Tenney of 1922 Abram St., Arlington, Tex.; one sister Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Boone, Mr. Boone, a nephew, Christopher and niece, Julie of 11540 South 94th East Avenue, Bixby, Okla., paternal grandmother, Mrs. Hugo (Edna) Payne of Halstead, Kan., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Out-of-town relatives and friends here for the service were Everett DeGroot, Riverton; Val DeGroot, Hot Springs, S.D.; John DeGroot, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. David DeGroot and Trent, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Phyllis Manning, Joe and Diane, Arlington, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Payne and Mrs. John Dilts, Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. John Sturman, Deana, Johnnie and Jeff and Mrs. Jim Grisham, Casper; Mrs. Carolyn Dyer, Crawford, Neb.; Mrs. Jerry Golumb, Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. Jack Hauptman, Walden, Colo.; and Alan Butler, Gering, Neb.
