Tschacher dies

The funeral for former resident Lewis Tschacher, 66, is Friday, July 28, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk.

Tschacher died Monday in a Douglas hospital.

Memorials may be sent to the Glendo Ambulance Service in lieu of flowers.

A full obit will be in next week's Herald.

Lewis Tschacher, 66, dies


The Rev. Bernard Bianco officiated at the funeral Friday for Lewis Edward Tschacher who died July 24 at the Converse County Hospital.

Tschacher was born Nov. 26, 1911 at Hemingford, Neb., the son of Michael and Emma Annen Tschacher. He moved to Wyoming in 1926 and was married to Erma Parmely July 25, 1936 at Hot Springs, S.D.

Following their marriage they moved to Idaho, returning to Wyoming in 1948 where they lived until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Erma of Glendo, two sons, Darell of Boise, Idaho, and Floyd of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; two sisters, Laura Burke of Glendo and Adelyn of Enid, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Music was provided by Minerva Watson, organist, with solos by Marilyn Cockreham, who sang "Going Down The Valley," and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee."

Pallbearers were Lloyd Coleman, Harry Brown, George Etchemendy, Floyd Engebretsen, Graydon Hoblit and Duane Nelson.

Interment was at the Lusk Cemetery.
