Hazel C. Walker
Services for Hazel C. Bullington Walker will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Scott Grimshaw officiating.
Mrs. Walker, age 91, died Saturday evening at the Niobrara County Memorial Nursing Home in Lusk. She was born July 31, 1897, in Remsen, Iowa, the daughter of L. T. Bullington and Esther McClain Bullington. She married Roy R. Walker in 1923 in LeMars, Iowa, and they were the parents of four children. Roy and Hazel homesteaded north of Lusk and later moved in to town. Hazel worked at several restaurants and cooked at the hospital.
Mrs. Walker was a member of the First Baptist Church, and of the American War Mothers. She had numerous friends in Rapid City, South Dakota, from residing with her daughter there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers, one sister, one son, and one grandchild.
Survivors include: three daughters, Lois Weber of Lusk, Joyce Cordes of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Beverly Bonsell of Lusk; one brother, Mac Bullington of Portland, Oregon; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Burial will be Saturday in the LeMars Memorial Cemetery, LeMars, Iowa.
For those who wish, memorials to the First Baptist Church will be appreciated by the family.
