Anna Wilkison

Anna Wilkison, long-time area resident, died Sunday, Dec. 21, at the Niobrara County Nursing Home where she had lived since 1975.

She was born September 7, 1905, in Omaha, the oldest child of John and Sarah Moore. Her family moved to the Lance Creek area when Anna was a young child. On March 12, 1930, she married Floyd Wilkison at Hot Springs, S.D. The Wilkisons made their home in the Lance Creek area until they moved to Lusk in 1970.

Funeral service was held this Tuesday at Peet Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Frank Bozart and the Rev. Keith Putney officiating.

Music was by Edna DeCastro, organist and Mark Lohr who sang "In The Garden" and "Amazing Grace." Active pallbearers were Clem Mosier, Walter Kant, James McAllister, John Overman, Harvey Overman and Luther Penfield.

Interment was in Lusk Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Niobrara County Nursing Home.

Mrs. Wilkison was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, one son and one brother.

She is survived by four daughters Mrs. Ed (Nellie) Brunner of Grand Junction, Colo., Doris Munden and Mrs. Willard (Connie) Gibbs of Hayden, Colo., and Mrs. Eldon (Rose) Moore of Lance Creek; four sons Clifford of Manville, Lenard, Ronald and Richard, all of Lusk; one brother Raymond Moore of Lance Creek; 25 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
