Marguerite L. "Margie" Wilson

Marguerite Wilson passed away Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at the Community Care in Worland, Wyo. Services were held Thursday, April 25 at Veile Mortuary Chapel in Worland, with Rev. Ralph Partelow of Zion Lutheran Church conducting the service. Cremation followed and the ashes were intered at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens in Cheyenne.

She was born Oct. 29, 1920, at Van Tassell, to James Edward and Coila Leona (Calhoun) Roberts. She was raised at Van Tassell and graduated from Lusk High in 1938.

She married David W. Wilson at Hot Springs, S.D., on May 21, 1938. She and her husband lived at Lance Creek until 1957, when the family transferred to Frannie, Wyo., with Continental Oil Co. In 1961 they moved to Riverton, Wyo., where they retired from the oil fields in 1978. Following their retirement, they lived at Searchlight, Nev., and in Boise, Idaho, where her husband died in 1988. After his death she lived in Worland and Cheyenne, Wyo., and Durango, Colo. She had just returned to Worland on April 22.

She had been a Rebekah Lodge member, had been active in bowling at Powell and Cody, Wyo. She was a former member of the Riverton Does Lodge. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her son, David Frank Wilson of Newburg, Mo., and her daughter, Marry Ellen Wilson of Kennewick, Wash.; three brothers - Wesley Roberts of Apple Valley, Calif.; Alvin Roberts of Hesperia, Calif.; Larry Roberts of Dinuba, Calif.; three sisters - Alice Seegrist of Casper, Kathleen "Katie" Bower of Worland, and Evelyn Erspamer of Mount Vernon, Wash.; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
