Stewart William Boyd was born December 31, 1885 at Burlington, Ill., the son of Julia Bush and William S. Boyd. He died December 20.

When 15, he came to Wyoming with his mother and stepfather, Harry Rogers. They settled on a ranch in the Indian Creek area of what is now Niobrara County.

He and Bertha Mill were married June 1, 1910 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mill, in Lusk. They were the parents of one child, a daughter, Florence.

Mr. Boyd was in the furniture business in Lusk from 1908 until 1916 when he became associated in the automobile business with his step-father and brother, the late George Boyd. They built the building which is now by the ASC office and Gambles Store where they had a garage. They also built the Old Lusk Motor Co, building which is now used as a body shop. In 1917 they sold that building along with the Ford Franchise to Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Godfrey. They continued to operate a garage from the Gambles Store building until 1919. In 1919 they sold the entire operation to Carl Sorensen and the late William Delahoyde.

In 1923 Mr. and Mrs. Boyd moved to Glenrock where they were engaged in the ranching business until 1931 when they returned to Lusk. In 1931 Mr. Boyd became Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Cadillac dealer in Lusk. He was in that dealership until his retirement in 1945. Boyds continue to maintain their home in Lusk at the time of his death.

He was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Harmony Masonic Lodge and Lusk B.P.O. Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Bertha; a daughter Mrs. William Canady of Douglas; a niece, Mrs. Ed. Foley of Lusk; and several cousins.
