Mrs. Kintigh Dies Thursday

Mrs. Mae Kintigh, 64, died suddenly last Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Couch, in Oral, So. Dak. Mrs. Kintigh had undergone surgery recently but had seemed to be much improved.

Funeral services were held at the Peet Mortuary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Reverend Frank Bozart in charge. A quartet composed of Mrs. Carl Peterson, Roy Elder, and Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Pfeifer sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," Mrs. Robert Bramlet was organist. Pallbearers were Everett Parmely, Lewis Tschacher, Bud Hoblit, Paul Heany, Leo Heins, and Larry Eddy. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

May Ellen Parmely was born at Dean So. Dak. April 20, 1896. She was left motherless at an early age and kept house for her father and four brothers. She married Warren S. Kintigh, December 16, 1914 and they were the parents of five children, the two sons dying in infancy. The family moved to the Keeline community in 1926. After her husband's death in 1939, Mrs. Kintigh devoted her life to caring for the sick.

She was a member of the Union Congregational church of Keeline and the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Lusk.

Survivors include her three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Cox and Mrs. Lloyd Coleman, Lusk, and Mrs. Floyd Couch of Oral S. Dak.; two brothers, Leonard and Ferrill Parmely of St. Lawrence, So. Dak.; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stark, Valentine, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. Everett Parmely, Harrison, Mrs. Willard Frye, Douglas; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Korham, Gering, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Peebles, Casper; Mr. and Mrs. Burnice Cox, Grass Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Couch, Gordon, Nebr.
