Anita Ann Berggren
Anita Ann Berggren, 87, died at the Goshen County Memorial Nursing Home in Torrington on September 13, 1988. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
She was born August 16, 1901 at Monroe City, MO, the daughter of Joseph and Louisa Jane (Bixler) Murphy. She graduated from Nebraska State Teachers College in Chadron, NE in 1920. On August 9, 1926 she married John L. Berggren at Cheyenne. The couple had a ranch north of Lusk for many years.
She was affiliated with the Episcopal Church and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, John, a resident of the nursing home in Torrington, one daughter, Jane Haws of Tucson, AZ; four grandsons, Mike and Steve, both of Tucson, David of Long Beach, CA and Jeffrey, serving in the U.S. Air Force and one great-grandchild.
