Memorial for Beatrice Allen
Beatrice (Mrs. Orval) Allen, Lusk, died at the Niobrara hospital April 26 and memorial service was conducted here Monday at Peet Mortuary Chapel.
The Rev. Ron Marshall officiated at the service. Diana Haynes sang "Rock of Ages" and "In the Garden." Organist was Minerva Watson.
Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery. Active bearers were Howard Haworth, Ron Fowler, Willard Frye, Art Renzelman, Otto Vondra and Harry Baars. Memorial have been established to the Diabetes Association.
Beatrice Frances Allen was born September 29, 1916, at Verda, Nebr., the daugher of Frank and Katie Vrasper. She attended school at Verdigree and Neligh.
She moved to Royal, Neb., in 1932 where she met Orval Delos Allen. They were married on March 14, 1933, at the home of the Methodist minister in O'Neill, Neb. They came to Wyoming in 1939 to work on various ranches. "Beatrice enjoyed raising flowers, sewing, and raising her family," said a friend.
She was preceded in death by a son Eugene Charles.
She is survived by her widower Orval of Lusk; son Lonald Orval Allen of Cortz, Colo.; daughter Cindie Giles of Lusk; five grandchildren; sister Tillie Rihanek of Verdigree, Neb.; and brother Ray Vrasper of Colton, Ore.
