Emelie Dobkowitz Dies Here Sunday

Miss Ernelie Dobkowitz, 79, died at the Spencer Hospital in Lusk Aug. 30 at 8:30 p.m. after being in ailing health for some time and funeral services were conducted from the chapel of Peet Mortuary Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m.

The Rev. F. C. Doctor, St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, officiated at the final rites. Music was provided by members of the Lutheran Church. Following the services, the body was shipped to Snyder, Nebr. for burial in the cemetery there.

Emelie Ottilie Aurora Dobkowitz was born on July 16, 1874 near Scribner, Nebr., the daughter of Joseph and Anna Marie Muchow Dobkowitz. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Christian faith at the age of 14 years in the Lutheran Church of Pebble Creek, near Scribner, Nebr.

She resided at Snyder, Nebr. until 1920 when she moved to Hemingford, Nebr. In 1930, she came to Lusk where she made her home until her death.

Survivors include: four sisters, Mrs. Martha Klemke, Lusk; Mrs. Ottilie Hantke, Neilsville, Wis.; Mrs. Emma Meyer, Fort Collins, Colo.; and Mrs. Mathilda Schneider, Snyder, Nebr.; 14 nephews and 14 nieces.
