Mrs. Beyers Dies in Scottsbluff

Mrs. Lulu Beyers, 70, died suddenly of a heart attack in the St. Mary's Hospital in Scottsbluff Monday afternoon. She had gone to Scottsbluff earlier this month to have a cataract removed from her eye and was to have been released from the hospital Tuesday.

She is survived by a son, Lewis, a sister, Mr. R.W. Reed of Manville, and a brother, Fred Dean of Node.

Funeral services will be held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Thursday with Richard Scott officiating.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Beyers Held Last Thursday

Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Thursday for Mrs. Lulu Beyers. Richard Scott, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiated.

Mrs. Hobart Cockreham, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wood and Al Davenport sang "God Will Take Care of You" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Mrs. A.F. DeCastro was organist. Pall bearers wee: Harry Baars, Charley Canfield, Fred Hansen, Ed Hoy, Harold Fosher and Hobart Cockreham. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Lulu Grace Dean, daughter of Columbus M. and Ellen Linder Dean, was born at Whiting, Iowa June 4, 1889 and died in St, Mary's Hospital in Scottsbluff December 14. In 1911 she came with her parents to Node and filed on a homestead. She married Frank Beyers, also of the Node community, and they were the parents of a son, Lewis. They moved to Lusk in November 1958, and the following month Mr. Beyers died.

Mrs. Beyers became a Christian when she was 15 and was a member of the Church of Christ of Lusk at the time of her demise.

She is survived by a son, Lewis; a sister, Mrs. R.W. Reed, and brother, Fred Dean, both of this community.
