Son of Founder of Lusk Herald Killed By 2 Hitchhikers

According to Associated Press dispatches, Percy Calkins, son of J. K. Calkins, founder of The Lusk Herald, was murdered last week in New Mexico by two hitchikers whom he had given a ride.

Calkins was shot in the back and his body thrown into a field, where it was found two days later by hunters. Calkins was a graduate of Washington & Lee University, and was a traveling salesman.
