Karolyn Pearson, 11, Dies Thurs.

Karolyn Lee Pearson, 11, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Earl Pearson of Hat Creek, died unexpectedly last Thursday morning of complications following the mumps and a cold.

She had been quite ill but seemed to be feeling much better when Mr. Pearson talked to her about 2:00 am. Her condition evidently worsened and upon rising Thursday morning she was found in serious condition. She was rushed to the Spencer Hospital but was found dead on arrival.

Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Gary and Harold Nelson of Cheyenne officiating. A quartet composed of Anita Nation, LaVerna Govaerto, Bernice Rizor and Pearl Walford sang "God Is Faithful", "Jesus Only" and "Time Is Passing." Mrs. J.P. Watson was organist. Pallbearers were: Amelia Ross, Phyllis Ross, Carol Lerwick, Lorraine Lerwick, Vicky Leathead and Luella Gray. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Karolyn Lee Pearson was born in Lusk March 13, 1949. She attended school at Fairview. Survivors include her parents; a sister Kathryn; a brother, Carl; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pearson of Hat Creek and Mrs. Myrtle Sheaman of West Edgemont.
