Former Flattop Man Dies in Wheatland

Funeral services were held June 14 in Wheatland for Vernard Frank Robinson, former resident of the Flattop community and brother of Ted Robinson of Flattop.

He and his wife moved to Wheatland four years ago, where they resided on a ranch four miles northeast of the city.

Mr. Robinson died at his home June 11 following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 18, 1895 at Palmer, Nebr.

A member of the Catholic Church and veteran of World War I, he is survived by his wife, Emma, one daughter, Mrs. Germaine Birkle, and a son, LaVerne Robinson, all of Wheatland; two brothers, Ted, of Flattop, and Jake of Cody, Wyo. Four sisters in other states are also among the survivors.

Services were held from the Schrader chapel with burial in the Wheatland Cemetery where military honors were conducted at the graveside.
