Mrs. Andrew J. Christeson Dies After Long Illness

Death came as a release from many months of suffering to Mrs. Marie Christeson, 57, wife of Andrew J. Christeson, at 1:50 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, January 2, 1946.

Mrs. Christeson had been in ill health from a chronic ailment for the past year and a half, and was brought to the Manring Convalescent Home two weeks prior to her death.

Her husband was stricken with a heart attack and was a patient at the Spencer Hospital at the time he was informed of his wife's death, and was unable to attend the services.

The Christesons have been residing on the Otis Bump ranch east of Lusk for the past six years.

Mrs. Christeson was born at Scales Mound, Illinois, September 20, 1888, and spent her childhood at Cripple Creek, Colo., and Deadwood, South Dakota. She was married to Andrew J. Christeson, November 26, 1909. They have one son, Louis Andrew, now residing at Billings, Montana.

Mr. and Mrs. Christeson resided at Casper for many years, moving to the Lusk vicinity in 1939.

Besides her husband and son, Mrs. Christeson is survived by a sister, Mrs. Charles Lund, of Node.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel on Saturday afternoon, January 5, at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Lawrence P. Juell, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated.

Mrs. Ezra Duncan and Mrs. Emerson Bonner sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Rock of Ages." They were accompanied by Miss Alice Fowler.

The casket bearers were Ralph Larsen, Fred Hansen, Anton Hansen, Otis Bump, Herbert Sabin and John Sturman.

Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Christeson of Billings, Montana were here to attend the funeral services.
