Mother of Mrs. Frank Christian Dies in Kans.
Mrs. Frank Christian has returned from Kansas City, Kans., where she was called by the death of her mother, Mrs. Anna Townsend, who died of a heart attack Aug. 27 at the age of 81.
Mrs. Townsend and her family are former residents of Lusk and she has many friends here who will regret to hear of her death. She had been making her home for some time with a daughter, Mrs. Marshall Worth of Kansas City.
Mrs. John T. Thode of Cheyenne, another daughter of Mrs. Townsend's accompanied Mrs. Christian on the trip.
Other survivors include three sons, Clifford of Long Beach, Calif., Edwin of Sioux Falls, So. Dak., and Roy of Austin, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. Kate Beebe of Kimball, Nebr. All were in attendance at the funeral services which were conducted Saturday.

Mother of Mrs. Frank Christian, Formerly of Lusk, Dies in Kansas
Sorrowful news came to Mrs. Frank Christian last Wednesday when she received word that her mother, Mrs. Anna Townsend, former Lusk resident, had succumbed that morning to a heart attack. The deceased had attained the age of 81 years. She had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Marshall Worth of Kansas City, Kans., for sometime past.
Mrs. Christian left here Thursday morning, and at Cheyenne was joined by her sister, Mrs. John T. Thode, also formerly of Lusk, and together they proceeded to Kansas City.
Last services and interment were conducted there Saturday afternoon. Other survivors are three sons, Clifford of Long Beach, Calif., Edwin of Sioux Falls, S. Dak. and Roy of Austin, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Kate Beebe of Kimball, S. Dak. All were in attendance at the concluding services.
