Geo. Deuel Dies of Heart Attack

George Deuel, formerly of Lance Creek, passed away Wednesday, October 27, while en route to a Douglas hospital from his home, after suffering a heart attack.

Coming to Wyoming in 1917, he homesteaded in the Lance Creek area. A number of years ago the family moved to Douglas.

He is surived by his widow, Mrs. Ida M., five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Anderson, Bay Horse, Montana; Mrs. Ruth Wiggam, of Wheatland, Wyo.; Mrs. Betty Harris, Frazeyburg, Ohio; Delores and Darlene of Douglas. Two sons, George, Jr., of Lance Creek, and Darrell of Douglas. Four grandchildren. Five sisters and one brother - Mrs. Arthur Sesses, Coos Bay Ore.; Mrs. Fred Lee, Brooking, Ore.; Mrs. Edgar Wales, of Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. Texley, Carrol, Neb.; Mrs. Don Fitch of Wichita, Kansas, and Warren Deuel of Lusk, Wyo.

Military funeral services were held in Douglas at the Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday, November 3. Rev. Hampton of Lusk was in charge of the services.

Mr. and Mrs. Clem Mosier of Lance Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Texley of Carrol, Neb.; Mrs. Gertrude Johnson, Norfolk, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Deuel of Norfolk, Neb.; Dale Wales of Nampa, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Deuel and Doreen Pearson of Lusk attended the services.
