Louanne Templeton Mills
Louanne Templeton Mills passed away May 29, 2009 in Mountain View, California. She was the daughter of Harmon J. and Opal S. Templeton. Louanne was born on Feb. 17, 1921 and spent her childhood in the Lance Creek area with her parents and her older brother, Robert.
Around 1928 the family moved into Lusk and she graduated from Lusk High School in 1939. She went to the University of Wyoming and received a BA in 1943. On May 8, 1944 she married M.H. “Bus” Mills. They spent the majority of their married life in California and raised their family, Robert Mills, Richard Mills and Nancy Mills Kavanagh there.
Surviving Louanne are her brother, Robert C. Templeton, her three children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
At her request no services will be held. Memorial contributions can be sent to Niobrara Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, PO Box 763 in Lusk, or the UW Alumni Scholarship Fund in Laramie.
