Veronica (Roni) Judy Almazan

Veronica (Roni) Judy Almazan passed away Aug. 11, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nev. No services were held at the family’s request. She was laid to rest in Cannon City, Colo.

Veronica was born on Oct. 1, 1962 to Willie Almazan and Karla (Peterson) Smith. She married Tom Donald in Las Vegas, Nev. They are now divorced. Veronica had lived in Lusk, Wyo. for a brief time of four years. Veronica loved life and enjoyed painting, drawing and sculpturing. She loved animals and was always helping those less fortunate.

She is survived by siblings; Deana and Richard Guthrie and family of Meeteetse, Wyo.; Tess Sandavol and daughters of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Thor and Holly Smith and daughters of Cody, Wyo.

She is survived by her children Adam Almazan of Pullman, Wash.; Veronica Chapman of McPherson, Kan.; Deserie Donald of Texas; Reese Knittle of El Cajon, Calif.; McKinna Hinton of St. George, Utah. She is survived by her grandchildren, Brady and Rileigh Almazan of North Dakota and Izaiah Chapman of McPherson, Kan.; Serenity (Donald) of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather Lafe Culver of Lusk, Wyo. grandfather Carl Peterson of Lusk, Wyo., Mary Almazan of Guernsey, Wyo. and one infant son.
