Graveside services were held at the Van Tassell Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon, with Mr. Trucano officiating.

He was born in Denmark, northwest of Copenhagen, February 25, 1877, to Mr. and Mrs. C. Christensen. After his fathers death he came to this country with his mother at the age of 11. In 1931 he married Mrs. Sena Jensen. After his wife died in 1938, he continued to live at their Kirtley home for several years, finally moving into Van Tassell where he stayed up until the past four years when he entered the Rushville Park View Nursing Home. During his later years in Van Tassell he spent much of his time with the Lester Lewis family. Through the years he enjoyed treating the Van Tassell school children on special holidays.

His wife, parents, one brother and one stepson died previously.

Survivors include two stepsons, Beck "Red" Jensen of Rushville and Ted Jensen of Chula Vista, Calif., four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
