M.H. Wilson is Claimed Early Morn, June 20

Marcelus H. Wilson, for more than thirty-seven years a resident of this county, passed away at the family ranch home north of this city at 4:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20th, at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 9 days. Mr. Wilson's death was due to complications incident to advanced age. He had been in failing health for the past several years and became seriously ill about two weeks ago.

The deceased was a native of Indiana, but moved from that state to Iowa with his parents when but two years old. It was there that he grew to manhood and married Miss Minerva C. Marrs. To this couple were born four children, one daughter dying at the age of three years, and three of whom, with the widow, survive. They are Mrs. Gertrude Daley, of Chewelah, Wash.; Francis, who lives on the ranch and Ray O., of this city.

The family moved to this county in November, 1896, and have resided in the Peaceful Valley community since. Mr. Wilson was highly respected by all his neighbors and acquaintances, and his passing will bring sorrow to a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock this Thursday afternoon from the Baptist church, Rev. B. P. Farrar, pastor, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of George Earl Peet, mortician. The remains were interred in the Lusk cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roy Beard, Conrad Larson, Charles Heumier, James Bently, Walter Klemke and Wm. Hawkins.
