Funeral Rites Accorded Mrs. Lucetta Roberts

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lucetta Roberts, mother of James E. Roberts and Mrs. Phebe Fraser of Lusk, in Bridgeport, Nebr., Sept 6 at two o'clock. The Rev. W. B. Cain officiated.

Mrs. Victor B. Pigg and Mrs. T. W. Hobbs sang "In the Garden" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again," accompanied by Sandra Wood.

Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Roberts: Floyd and Phil Fraser of Lusk; James and Robert Simon of North Platte, Nebr.; Howard and Cecil Simon of Scottsbluff. Interment was in the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport.

Lucetta Laughery, daughter of Edward Ransom Laughery and Margaret Bailey, was born June 26, 1870 at Iowa City, Ia. She was married to Barton Louis Roberts in Castlewood, S. Dak., June 27, 1899. The couple had seven children, one daughter dying at birth. In 1909 the family homesteaded near Van Tassell. They moved to Van Tassell in the middle twenties and lived there until 1929. In late years Mrs. Roberts has made her home with a daughter, Mrs. E. D. Gusman in Bridgeport.

She is survived by a son, James E. Roberts of Lusk, five daughters, Mrs. Liliian Gourley of Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Gusman, Mrs. Grace Simon, Scotttsbluff, Mrs. Phebe Fraser of Lusk, and Mrs. Hazel Coleman of China Lake, Calif.; one brother, R. E. Laughery, 38 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
