Major Alfred H. Beach dies in Calif.
Alfred H. Beach, former resident of Lusk, died at the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles, Wednesday morning. Mrs. W. W. Edmondson, sister-in-law, was advised yesterday.
Major Beach was a veteran of the first World War, attaining the rank of Major, and came to Lusk after the close of the war to start law practice. He was located here for several years and in Casper and the Salt Creek oil field.
He was instrumental in organizing the first American Legion posts in Wyoming and for many years was active in Legion affairs.
He is to be buried at Grand Junction, Colorado, where the family has been living. Major Beach was 70 years of age at the time of his death.
