Word of Death of Brother Received
C. A. Whelan received word Friday that his brother William J. Whelan had passed away that morning at his home in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
William J. Whelan was born in Dubois County Indiana and came to Wyoming in 1909, taking up a homestead in the Keeline community. The family left Wyoming in 1928 and lived for a time in Missouri, also for several years in Fort Collins, Colorado, later settling on a farm near Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Mr. Whelan passed away May 24, 1946, being sixty years of age and was buried in the Pine Hill cemetery, May 27, 1946. He leaves besides his wife, six children; Russell, Margaret, Dorothy, Beulah and Amy, one sister Elsie Reed of Lincoln, Nebr., and two brothers, Fred H. Whelan of New Harmony, Indiana and C. A. Whelan of Lusk.
