2 Brothers Die Within a Day

Two brothers, Andrew and Chris Wasserburger, died within a few hours of each other, August 1 and August 2, at their respective homes in Ardmore, S. Dak and Montrose, Neb. The brothers were uncles of Wilfred Wasserburger and second cousins of Henry Wasserburger, who owns a ranch north of Lusk.

Funeral services for Chris Wasserburger were held in Montrose, August 5, in charge of Father John C. Madsen of Harrison. Andrew Wasserburger's funeral rites were held in Ardmore, So. Dak., August 6, Rev. C. N. Biever officiating. Henry and John Wasserburger from here attended the services.

Chris Wasserburger was born on March 13, 1882, in Platte County, Nebraska. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wasserburger. He was married October 16, 1916, to Henrietta O'Connell at Crawford, Neb. To them were born Norbert, Dorothy and Delores.

Milwaukee, Wis., was the birthplace of Andrew Wasserburger, January 15, 1874. In 1887 the family moved to Nebraska. He was married to Bertha Nutto in 1903 and to them were born four daughters, Anna O'Connell, Elvina Porter, Irene and Amelia. For several years he owned and operated the Ranch Supply House at Harrison, then lived on a homestead, later moving to Ardmore, where he was mayor at the time of his death.
