Albert Walter, 74, Died at Osage July 18. Last Rites Held Saturday

Albert Walter, 74 years of age and a resident of the Node community for many years passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Richard Updike of Osage, Wyoming in Weston county at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, July 18th. His death was attributed to a chronic heart condition.

The deceased who made his home with another daughter, Emma, on their ranch located north of Node, had gone to visit the Updike family at their home the early part of July. He suffered a heart attack on Friday, July 5th and from then to the time of his death he failed to respond. Mr. Walter had been a sufferer of this heart condition for the past three years.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Peet Chapel with Father Bernard reading the services. "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Till We meet Again" were sung by Mrs. Frank Barrett, Misses Elizabeth and Pauline Bruch, Mrs. Carl Bruch and Brian Dougherty accompanied at the piano by Miss Marialyce Barrett.

Burial was made in the Lusk cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Paisley, Herbert Sabin Menno Kaan, Tom Pfister, Carl Bruch and Albion Lind.

Survivors of the deceased are three daughters, Emma of north of Node, Mrs. Clarence Sides of Kirtley and Mrs. Richard Updike of Osage and two sons, Ray and Albert both of Node. The deceased was preceded in death by his wife in 1926.
