Mrs. Fred Heins, Resident of Wyo. Since '06, Passes

The Keeline community was deeply saddened Tuesday afternoon when Mrs. Fred J. Heins passed away at four o'clock in her home on October 10, 1939. Mrs. Heins was 76 years old at the time of her passing and was a beloved friend to all those that knew her. She had been in declining health for several years and about two weeks before her death she suffered a stroke which resulted in her passing away.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. I. Bernthal at the Lutheran Church in Keeline at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, October 13, 1939. The singers were the Misses Elizabeth and Marie Frosheiser with accompaniment by Mrs. Bernthal. Burial was made in the Jireh cemetery.

Pallbearers were Frank Demmer, Alex Frosheiser, Jake Saalk, Henry _?_, John Hill and Sam Couch.

Anna Wardelmann was born November 19, 1861 at Clay City, Spencer County, Indiana. She was baptized September 7, 1862 and her childhood years were spent with her parents on a farm near Clay City, Indiana. At the age of seventeen she was confirmed in the Lutheran church.

On July 28, 1887, she was united in marriage to Fred J. Heins at New Harmony, Indiana. They first resided in Genterville, Indiana, and in 1906 they moved to a homestead two miles southwest of Keeline where they lived until eleven years ago, moving into Keeline. To this union were born six children, five sons and one daughter, four sons preceding her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Fred J. Heins; one son, Leo, of Keeline; her daughter, Mrs. Erich Miller of Stover, Missouri; and eight grandchildren.
