Services for James William Dupes, 91, have taken place.

He died April 17, 2008, in Casper.

Cremation has taken place and interment of cremains will be in the Jireh cemetery.

He was born July 24, 1916, in Keeline, the son of James L. and Susan I. Thomas.

On July 8, 1944, he married Dorothy Gunn in Lusk.

They lived in Douglas; Tucson, Ariz.; and Billings, Mont., before moving to Casper in 1997.

He worked in the oilfield all his life and was employed by Cenex Pipeline as pipeline maintenance superintendent for 27 years before retiring in 1981.

He served as a corporal in the National Guard.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

His hobbies included plants, hunting, fishing, and gun collecting.

Survivors include his wife, one niece, and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank L., who was killed during World War II at Midway, and Henry C. Dupes; one sister, Florence Coen; and his parents.

Bustard's Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
